MOTOR NUCLEUS OF FACIAL NERVE/ FACIAL MOTOR NUCLEUS

The facial motor nucleus is a collection of neurons in the brainstem that belong to the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII).

These lower motor neurons innervate the muscles of facial expression and the stapedius.
